Once Upon a Time Season 7’s renewal is still up in the air, but it has been confirmed that it will go on a reset if ever it will push through. Although nothing is final yet for the show’s future, it might have a major shakeup that will see the loss of some characters.

The American fairytale television series now has a number of actors playing their respective roles and this might be a situation where Storybrooke will have fewer stars in it. From the looks of it, it seems the current season is now preparing its fans to say goodbye to their favorite characters.

Henry

It looks like Jared Gilmore’s character as Henry is rarely seen in the show’s current season compared to the previous chapters. He was once seen in every episode fighting alongside his mother Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison). Now, he just appears every now. He might play a vital part in the show’s first season, but it looks like his character can exit anytime. But, it might be quite hard to remove Jared’s role as his mother and adopted mom Regina (Lana Parrilla) play major roles.

Snow White and Prince Charming

Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) also have fewer appearances in “Once Upon a Time” Season 7 than its predecessors. The couple has been in a sleeping curse that made one sleep while the other is awake.

The 38-year-old “Big Love” star’s character, too, is now often a sounding board of Regina and David has a similar role to Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Hence, the upcoming season might not be affected if she and the 38-year-old “Thor” actor are gone.

The reboot

Meanwhile, it seems like the revival of “Once Upon a Time” Season 7 hints that the protection spell Storybrooke has is about to be broken.

Hence, this means that the show’s characters would be free to come and go. When this happens, it might be easier for other characters to leave the show with a proper send-off. The imminent reboot might be the change the television series needs. So, if there is indeed another season, it may only focus on a few important characters.
