Kelly Osbourne has written a new book entitled, "There Is No F*cking Secret: Letters From a Badass Bitch." There was a day when this title would have been shocking, or even rejected by publishers but those days are over.

In an article published yesterday in People.com, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne tells all and lets the readers into a lifestyle they may not understand, but one that is reality for the Osbourne clan. In her book, Kelly chronicles one of the darkest nights in her life, including one evening when she feared her father, may have accidentally killed her mother.

A child's nightmare

No child wants to see a parent in distress. Kelly Osbourne had a night where she saw both of her parents in desperate need of help. In 2002, Sharon Osbourne, who had been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, had a seizure. Kelly says her father went insane when he heard the initial diagnosis, and began using drugs to deal with the devastating news.

For this reason Kelly was worried about Ozzy's reaction the night his wife had a seizure. As Sharon lay on the floor, Ozzy swallowed a handful of pills and washed them down with a glass of vodka. What happened next was indeed a nightmare.

Ozzy bent down and put his hand above his wife's face to see if she was breathing. He then passed out on the floor beside her with his hand covering Sharon's mouth — Kelly thought Ozzy was going to kill her mother.

When paramedics arrived, they eventually revived Sharon and both of Kelly's parents were taken to the hospital. Kelly said she was grateful the EMT's did not call the police, as is required whenever there is a suspected drug overdose.

The Osbournes

Kelly Osbourne came into the limelight when her family had their own reality TV show, "The Osbournes." This show let the viewers into the world that Ozzy, Sharon and their children Kelly and Jack inhabited.

Ozzy's drug use has been widely known during his 40-plus years as a heavy metal/rock singer.

Equally talked about in recent years are the struggles that Kelly's mom has dealt with as the wife of Ozzy Osborne. Sharon has shared some of the trials during her 30 year marriage on "The View," the talk show she co-hosts.

Kelly Osboure's book will no doubt be a best seller, although it will not have the shock value or impact that it once had. Thanks to the Internet, and reality TV, people are desensitized to things that would have shocked them in days gone by.
