Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have been apart since 2016. In fact, they now have their respective partners; Gwen Stefani and Anderson East. But, it looks like the member of Pistol Annies hasn’t moved on from her romance with her husband of four years.

At the recent 2017 Academy of Country Music Awards, the “Vice” singer credited her heartache from his ex-spouse that made her create her new album. And this, they say made the No Doubt frontwoman irritated.

Miranda v Stefani

In her speech, Lambert said that her heartbreak let her pour her heart out into her new album “The Weight of These Wings.” As a matter of fact, this made her win two major awards; Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Although her new boyfriend East accompanied her, Stefani saw that she still thinks of Shelton. Hence, the former wife of Gavin Rossdale was already fed up of her intention to talk about their split on television, an insider said.

“Gwen thinks Miranda really needs to focus on her current relationship and not her ex,” a source close to the mother-of-three told Celebrity Insider. “Gwen gets that Miranda’s split with Blake was heartbreaking but come on; it’s time to move on.”

The insider went on to explain that Stefani, too, had been through a divorce, but she tried her best to move one from the Bush lead singer. Thus, everything is now about Shelton and said that they neither of them have to live in the past.

Allegedly, Stefani said that she is happy that Lambert is now with East and hopes that her heartbreak from Shelton will be gone soon and they would grow as a lovely couple.

Miranda’s new album bring Stefani, Shelton closer together

Moreover, instead of breaking them, Lambert’s new album is helping Stefani and Shelton’s relationship to grow stronger and closer together.

If truth be told, she even listened to her new album to understand her situation and their failed relationship better.

“Blake and Gwen actually listen to Miranda’s latest album and the music has given Gwen a chance to learn more about Blake and what went wrong in his marriage,” the source added. “Miranda’s music has actually brought Blake and Gwen closer than ever.”

The heartbreaking songs help Shelton to open up to Stefani that he didn't use to as he didn't have the courage to talk about it. Although she didn't like the thought of Lambert using her ex-husband to write tracks about their broken marriage, this brings them to a different kind of closeness.
