"The Young and the Restless" fans were rewarded today for their faithfulness. For 6 months loyal viewers have watched as Chloe endeared herself to Chelsea. All the while knowing that Chloe blew up the cabin with her bestie's husband inside. During the past week, Nick has been putting two and two together, and come to the conclusion that Chloe murdered his brother. He even retrieved a backpack Chloe threw in a dumpster. When he showed Chelsea the wrench and stun gun, she refused to believe they implicated her best friend. So it seemed as if Chloe would marry Kevin, and stay on the island where they are to honeymoon.
What Chelsea learned
Chelsea believed that Chloe was reformed, and had forgiven Adam for the accident that took the life of her little girl Delia. She appreciated her friend helping her deal with her grief after she became a widow. This is why she was furious at Nick for showing her his "proof" the night before Chloe's wedding. Chelsea kicked Nick out but later while searching for a pin in a dresser drawer in Chloe's bedroom, Chelsea found her husband's wedding ring. Confronted with this undeniable proof, she realizes that her spouse Adam was indeed murdered by her best friend. The look on her face was priceless. The shock and disappointment was so strong you could feel it. What will Chelsea do with the knowledge that her son Conner will grow up without his father because of the woman who claimed to have her best interests at heart.
The end of the line for Chloe
Chloe is a piece of work, so anything could happen. She could come back up the stairs, be confronted by Chelsea, stuff her best friend in a closet, and go on with the wedding. By the time Chelsea is found, Chloe and Kevin will be long gone to their honeymoon island. Chelsea could go down the stairs and wait until the minister asks if anyone objects to the wedding.
Nick might decide to interrupt the nuptials and he and Chelsea can confront Chloe together. Perhaps "Y&R" won't even show these characters tomorrow. As this reveal came today (Wednesday), we know that there will be some type of cliffhanger for Friday. However it plays out, viewers realize that this is the end of the line for the scheming, murdering Chloe -- and it's about time.
