Former “Bachelor” star Chris Soules has been arrested in Iowa in relation to a car crash that happened Monday night. One person died in the accident, and Soules reportedly left the scene of the crash. Scant details are available at this point, but “Bachelor” fans will certainly be anxious to learn more.

Soules' arrest comes after an accident Monday

KWWL shared news about “Bachelor” Chris Soules' arrest. They report that an accident happened in Buchanan County, Iowa near the town of Aurora on Monday night, and one person died in the collision. While that person's name has not been released as of yet, additional details about the incident indicate that a pickup truck ran into the back of a tractor, and both vehicles ended up in ditches on the sides of the road.

Soules, who is from Arlington, Iowa, was arrested and booked for leaving the scene of the accident. TMZ shares the “Bachelor” star's mug shot and notes that according to the available documents, the accident happened around 8:20 p.m. Monday night, and Chris was said to be driving a Chevy pickup truck. He allegedly hit the John Deere tractor trailer, and the driver of that trailer died after being transported to the hospital.

The 'Bachelor' star is currently in custody

The “Bachelor” star is said to be in custody now, and he apparently needed medical attention while in custody. He has been booked on a charge related to leaving the scene of an accident involving a death. The case is clearly just developing, and additional details should emerge soon.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Soules has faced legal trouble, although it seems that it has been a while since he made headlines for trouble rather than for his reality television gigs. As Radar Online detailed back during his stint on Andi Dorfman's season of “The Bachelorette,” Chris was found guilty in 2006 of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

In addition, it seems that there were numerous other guilty pleas and charges from earlier days, some of those related to alcohol use as well.

Many of Chris' previous legal issues were relatively minor, related to speeding or possession of alcohol by a minor, and it seems that many of them happened between 1998 and 2002 or so.

He reportedly had a couple of speeding incidents in 2007 and 2009, but little else until now. There is no word as of yet detailing the reason for the crash, or what other charges the “Bachelor” star might be facing. However, this certainly is not good news for Soules and could potentially be a big problem for him.

For now, curious “Bachelor” fans will have to stay tuned to see what additional information emerges regarding Chris Soules' arrest in Iowa after the deadly vehicle crash.
