Did Anna Duggar just blame "19 Kids and Counting" for the sex scandal that brought down her husband Josh Duggar? Radar Online reported that TLC would love to feature Anna in her fifth pregnancy in "Counting On." But the family-oriented reality television channel doesn't want the pedophilia and sex scandal that trails the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. But that's okay because Anna doesn't want her children on reality TV, faulting it, and maybe even Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar for Josh's sex addiction.
Anna Duggar rocked by husband's sex addiction
Few people would envy Anna in the last few years of her life. The 28-year-old mom of four was dealt a succession of blows starting with a police report showing that her husband had molested several young girls, including his sisters of "Counting On," Jana Duggar and Jill Dillard. Other sisters Jessa Seewald, Jinger Duggar, and possibly even the younger ones may have been involved. One girl was only 5 when Josh molested her. But dad Jim Bob Duggar hushed up the pedophilia and incest, and the reality television show went on preaching Christian values.
Duggar blames reality TV for sex problems
Then came the Ashley Madison leak, and Josh was found to have several accounts, including one using the stolen identity of Matthew McCarthy on the online adultery site.
A stripper porn star Danica Dillon revealed she'd been Josh's mistress. Duggar admitted to a pornography and sex addiction and "19 Kids and Counting." Until then the Duggar family had boasted the model Christian life so the sex scandal hit hard. Anna stuck with Josh and won't put her children on "Counting On" because she believes reality television led to his problems.
Whether Anna blames TLC for his sex addiction or just the exposure of it isn't clear.
Josh Duggar 'Counting On' minister for therapy
Josh went to sex rehab (faith based) but checked out of the program early. Counselors were concerned that treatment wasn't complete and skeptical about his recovery. A Duggar source says the 29-year-old is still in therapy but not with a licensed therapist.
Josh sees a minister once a week to discuss cheating and sex problems. It would be interesting to hear what the clinical rehab program would say about this DIY treatment. It's similar to what Jim Bob put his pedophile son through. The "19 Kids and Counting" dad had him paint houses for a friend at church. When Josh and Anna announced their fifth pregnancy it sounded like they hoped the baby would heal marriage rifts and stave off divorce. Are the Duggars "Counting On" very tenuous things to fix major problems?
