The executive producer Bryan Fuller says that several episodes of “American Gods” have been cut to help the story in the long run. Starz will premiere the show on April 30, 2017. The network representative claims that there were several problems with the cinematography and dialogues, and it’s important to broadcast a program without any issue.
‘American Gods’ – a series about Shadow Man
“American Gods” is being developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, for Starz. The story is inspired by a novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman.
Green and Fuller serve as showrunners, while Craig Cegielski, Thom Beers, and Stefanie Berk are executive producers.
The eight-episode sitcom will see its second season this summer.
The story revolves around Shadow Moon. He is sent to jail and given an unexpected early release after Laura’s murder. He misses his wife and decides to help cops in finding the murderer. A stranger, Wednesday, hires Shadow as his bodyguard. Wednesday is fond of collecting the old gods from different parts of the country.
Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki, and Pablo Schreiber have been recruited to play the leading roles, while Ian McShane is the supporting character.
Post-production of “American Gods” has been finalized, and the series is being marketed. At the 2013 Cambridge International Student Film Festival, Gaiman confirmed that the series would focus on far better details than the novel.
In 2014, the show was abandoned due to script issues. Later on, Fremantle Media acquired the distribution rights and resolved the issues.
The network’s plans for series
In June 2015, Starz officially announced that it had ordered first eight episodes of “American Gods,” while the remaining episodes will premiere as a part of its third season.

The first season of “American Gods” received positive comments from critics. On Metacritic, it has a score of 85 out of 100 based on six reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an average rating of 8 out of 10 based on fifteen reviews.
