Illumination Studios took several months to explore the origin of our favorite henchmen, but finally, it brings the Minions and Gru together in “Despicable Me 3.” In a meeting last night, Steve Carell revealed that he voiced the character of Gru and the film will hit a theater near you this June. A recently released teaser trailer of the movie focuses on several yellow-skinned goons that belong to Gru’s group.

It looks like the Minions are behind bars for some reason and will soon be out to destroy the human population. Another preview indicates that the Minions are depressed due to Gru’s sudden return. He is back to the world of crimes and ready to destroy the human colonies. It also hints that the movie will have better action sequences than the previous installments.

‘Despicable Me 3’

Despicable Me 3” is an upcoming 3D computer-animated movie co-produced by Illumination Entertainment. The production house has joined hands with Universal Pictures for film distribution. It is the third installment in the “Despicable Me” film series.

Immediately after the success of “Despicable Me 2” in 2013, Illumination Entertainment announced that a brand new installment would be released in 2017. Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin are serving as movie directors, while the co-director is Eric Guillon. The project is scripted by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul, and Steve Carell, Trey Parker, and Kristen Wiig have lent voices to the main characters. Cinco and Ken previously penned the scripts of “Despicable Me” and “Despicable Me 2.” The duo returns with a far better script of “Despicable Me 3,” hoping that the movie will be a blockbuster. According to MalayMail Online, the film is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 30, 2017.

The story and production

A Universal Pictures spokesperson reveals that the movie is in the final works. The story revolves around Gru who fights against Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who grew up in a high-profile family and is possessive by nature. The situation takes a very serious form when Bratt’s siblings come to know that his life is at risk. They decide to destroy Gru’s group of criminals, but it’s not an easy task. Meanwhile, Gru teams up with the Minions to achieve success in his evil mission of destroying the human populations. The criminal 's hard to deal with, but Balthazar Bratt and his siblings are brave enough to defeat the enemy. Steve Burke, the Illumination Studios CEO, has recently confirmed that the movie is in post-production and tickets will be available online in a few days.
