Acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg has roped in two big stars for his next movie which has been titled, "The Post". Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep will be part of this project. This drama movie will revolve around the Pentagon Papers, the classified US army documents which detailed many shocking deals conducted by the Government during the Vietnam War.
The papers were leaked by Daniel Ellsberg in 1971, and it literally shook the citizens of the nation, as it revealed that the Johnson administration had lied to the public to cover up the Vietnam War escalation.

"The Post" will chronicle The Washington Posts' legal battle to publish the contents of the paper. It is believed that Tom Hanks will play the role of Ben Bradlee, the Post's larger than life Executive Director, while Streep will play Katharine Graham, the publisher of the newspaper.
More details about this big-budget project is likely to emerge in the coming days. Sally Quinn, the widow of Ben Bradlee after coming to know about this project told that she is very much thrilled and excited, as a dream team is involved in this venture.
In a recent talk, Sally Quinn told that Tom Hanks is a versatile actor and he will portray the role of Ben with finesse.
"Tom is a brilliant actor. I don’t have to give him advice. They know Ben and they know what he’s like", said Quinn as per a report which came in the Washington Post dated March 06, 2017.

Ben Bradlee coming on screen after 41 years
This is not the first time that Ben Bradlee's character is being portrayed on screen.
In the 1976 film, "All The President's Men", Academy Award winning actor Jason Robards played the role of the news paper's executive director.
The movie will be produced by Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment in association with the Fox. Spielberg is now busy with the post production works of his new film "Ready Player One", and after wrapping up this flick, he will begin the works of "The Post" that could win them many Oscars.
