The latest cast of "Dancing With The Stars" was announced this morning on "Good Morning America." Season 24 of the hit show will kick off on March 20 and will mark the 400th episode of the show. With the usual mix of athletes, actors, musicians and reality stars, here's who viewers can look forward to seeing on the dance floor this season.
12 new cast members
There's 12 cast members this year. Five athletes made the cut onto season 24 of "Dancing with the Stars," along with three actors, two reality stars and two musicians. Simone Biles, Bonner Bolton, Rashad Jennings, Nancy Kerrigan and David Ross represent the athletes.
Most remember Biles from winning lots of gold in the 2016 summer olympics. Bonner Bolton isn't as well known, but he is a professional bull rider and model from Texas. Rashad Jennings is a running back who has played for the Giants, Raiders and Jaguars. Another Olympian in the group is Nancy Kerrigan, the figure skater who had her knee bashed in after a practice back in 1994. The final athlete is David Ross, who is a catcher and a two-time World Series champion. Ross just won the Series last year with the Chicago Cubs.
The three actors who are appearing on "DWTS" this upcoming season are Chris Kattan, Heather Morris, and Mr. T. Kattan is a comedic actor who spent seven years on "Saturday Night Live." He also appeared in a number of movies including "A Night at the Roxbury," "Corky Romano," and "Adam & Steve." Heather Morris is best known for her role on "Glee," in which she played the character of Brittany Pierce.
The last actor is Mr. T and America will recognize him from the television show "The A-Team."
Erika Jayne from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and Nick Viall of "The Bachelor" are the two reality stars on season 24 and the musicians are Charo and Normani Kordei, the 20-year-old singer with Fifth Harmony.
Leaks were wrong
Last month, the rumors started about which celebrities would be dancing. Out of all the names that were mentioned, the only one that is really going to be on the show is Simone Biles. As far as judges go, viewers will see Bruno Toniolo, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Julianne Hough lifting up the scores.
