The Dark Tower has been moved back and forth but nothing can stop the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s epic novel series from hitting the big screen. In fact, Columbia Pictures recently revealed the film’s official teaser poster and it is nothing but epic.

The promotional snap strategically used a negative space to trick the viewers to see the dark tower. It featured a big space between the skyscrapers of New York and can be viewed in two different directions.

The dramatic different kind of movie poster that will puzzle fan minds

“The Dark Tower” poster can be viewed from above where Roland (Idris Elba) and Jake (Tom Taylor) can be seen standing and at the bottom where The Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) is located.

King himself even shared a snap of the movie’s poster on his Twitter account. “Pilgrim, there are other worlds than these. Come with us on the adventure,” the author captioned the snap.

The science fantasy Western horror film will be led by Elba and McConaughey and will be using the tagline: “there are other worlds than these” for the movie’s promotion. The movie is directed by Nikolaj Arcel.

The movie adaptation trying to be different from its original book story

Meanwhile, the movie adaptation of “The Dark Tower” promises to feature a quite different origin of The Gunslinger (Idris Elba) and Warlock Walter (Matthew McConaughey) story.

The Man in Black is known for bringing in madness and destruction to a land known as Mid-World.

Evidently, he is eyeing to bring down the dark tower for keeping the peace and order in different territories and universes. The Gunslinger’s target, on the other hand, is to control the Man in Black. The first movie from King’s epic book franchise is looking for Jake, who holds “The Shine.” This weapon has the power to destroy the dark tower and let the Man in Black begin the apocalypse to start in the other worlds.
