Swifties listen up! Taylor Swift could be releasing her new album before the year ends. Yes, you read that right — new pop culture anthems could be hitting the airwaves come Christmas time. While nothing has been written in stone, a very credible source has revealed the possibility of a Taylor Swift new song dropping this year. That credible source just happens to be TayTay’s BFF, Ed Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran talks Taylor Swift new album
In a recent interview with BBC, the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ crooner talked about his new album ‘÷’ (Divide) and going up against other big artists in the music industry.
Sheeran believes this year is the best time release music for him. Especially now that other big stars have already dropped their music, reducing the possible competition for album sales.
“I think this year is going to be the high point. I have a feeling about it. Seventeen is my lucky number, and everyone I was scared of releasing of albums around me released them all last year — people like Beyonce and The Weekend and Bruno Mars.”
He went on and revealed what TS fans have long been waiting for — a possible Taylor Swift new album release date. Ed hinted that his best friend could be dropping new music before this year ends.
“Taylor [Swift] isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year,” the 26-year-old singer shared.
“Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records. So I've got a full year of just all Ed, all the time.”

TayTay is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve and her 2017 record will probably be no different. From writing about being in love, going through a bad breakup, regrets from lost love or just plain enjoying being “22”, fans can expect the best of Taylor Swift in her new album.

Her rollercoaster love life
Last year was a crazy one for Taylor in terms of her love life. She entered 2016 being crazy in love with the Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, only to call it quits after over a year of being together. A few weeks after the split was confirmed, photos of Tay and Tom Hiddleston canoodling beachside surfaced online.
Needless to say, the whole situation got messy with social media unfollowing and tweets being posted.
While Tay and tom hiddleston seemed very in love to the point of meeting with each other’s families, it all went sour quickly. After just three months of dating, they also broke up. Two very public relationships and break ups for Taylor, she’ll definitely be writing about it in her next album.

Girl fight versus Nicki Minaj
Ok, she may have patched things up with the female rapper but that doesn’t mean she won’t be singing about the whole situation anymore.
In 2015, Swift and Minaj got in an online back-and-forth after the latter’s hit 'Anaconda' didn’t get nominated for Video of the Year at the MTV VMA.
