For the record, tom hiddleston finally spoke up about his short-lived relationship with the pop star Taylor Swift. The 35-year-old star spilled it all, from admitting that what they had was real, and the famous “T.S.” tank top is, actually, a joke. The actor, best known for his character Loki in the “Avengers” films made noise when he was spotted with the former girlfriend of Calvin Harris. Although many doubted the two’s romance, he confessed that everything is true as he graced the cover of GQ magazine.
Everything about Tay-Tay is real
“Of course it was real,” Tom Hiddleston confessed to GQ magazine about his relationship with Taylor Swift.
“Taylor is an amazing woman. She’s generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time … She’s incredible,” he said. However, their romance was short-lived, and lasted only three months. “A relationship in the limelight takes work. And it’s not just the limelight. It’s everything else,” he added. That said, the former couple still chose to do things like normal lovers do.
The controversial ‘I ♥ T.S.’ shirt
Many believed that the romance between Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift was only made up, especially when “The Night Manager” star was seen wearing a white “I ♥ T.S.” tank top while celebrating the Fourth of July. “It was a joke. It was a joke among friends,” he revealed.
The “Thor: The Dark World” actor explained that they were playing a game that time when he accidentally slipped and hurt his back.
As he wanted to protect himself from the sun’s rays, he then asked everyone if they have an extra shirt. Funnily, one of Taylor Swift’s friends had one, but it read: “I ♥ T.S.” Left with no choice, he borrowed the shirt and wore it. Unfortunately, people who don’t know the exact thing that happened took everything out of context.
Tom Hiddleston on what others thought of the relationship
“I have to be so psychologically strong about not letting other people’s interpretations about my life affect my life,” the English musical performer justified. “A relationship exists between two people. We will always know what it was. You have to fight for love. You can’t live in fear of what people might say.
You know, you have to be true to yourself.”
The hard copy of Tom Hiddleston’s GQ cover will be out on February 14 in New York and Los Angeles, and on February 21 around the world, while the soft copy is now available online.
