Earlier this week, Wikileaks released their latest batch of hacked data, this time relating to the CIA's spying program. After Fox News host Sean Hannity made a comment on Twitter over the issue, Chaz Bono replied, and the two ended up getting into a heated exchange on social media.

Wikileaks fight

Just as they did during the 2016 presidential election with John Podesta's emails, Wikileaks released thousands of private documents that exposed how the CIA handled their spying program. The reaction came as expected, but has since resulted in bitter back and forth battles between those who support the leaks, and those who oppose.

Following up on the criticism made during his cable news show, Sean Hannity lashed out over the issue on Twitter. In response, Chaz Bono was critical of Hannity, which Mediaite documented on March 11.

"Is it possible, likely or can you confirm instances where the CIA used Malware to 'Attribute' cyber-attacks to other nations?

Possibly Russia," Sean Hannity wrote on Twitter on Thursday morning. Later on that night, Chaz Bono responded, tweeting, "So is the new Right, all Putin loving, reality denying, traitors to the principals our country was founded on, Fascists, Just Like #Trump?"

On Saturday night, Sean Hannity appeared to be made aware of Bono's tweets, and fired back with a social media rant in response.

"Chaz clearly you are just ignorant. Read the @wikileaks info released this week," Hannity tweeted, while adding, "Try and educate yourself before tweeting inane lib tlk pts!" Not stopping there, the Fox News host continued, and didn't let up.

"Also Chaz I thought you liberals were supposed to be "tolerant", & 'inclusive,' You r just the typical phony Hollywood hypocrite," Sean Hannity wrote.

Hannity went on to claim that he doesn't support Vladimir Putin, while accusing Bono of being "ignorant" and "dull," who was also "dumber than dirt." Chaz Bono responded, turning down Hannity's invitation to appear on his show, stating that he doesn't "play with stupid."

Moving forward

Sean Hannity has found himself in the headlines on more than one occasion this week, as he continues to defend Donald Trump ad nauseam. On Thursday, Hannity came under fire after calling on Trump to "purge" the government of former Obama holdovers, who he believes after trying to bring down the current administration.
