Our species has come a long way in a short period of time due to our ability to successfully pass down information from one generation to the next. The institution of family takes this process to a very personal level, allowing fathers and mothers to pass down specific values to their children. There are a lot of things we can explain to our kids, but some question clearly don’t have any answers. Rob Lowe will be counting on this exact situation as he prepares to embark on his new television series.

Explaining the unexplainable

The new show has been titled “The Lowe Files” and is being produced by A&E.

Rob Lowe will be joined by his two sons – Matthew and John, as the father and sons look to tackle some weird questions looming in our collective consciousness.

This is what Rob Lowe had to say in a recent statement regarding his new show: "Since I was a kid I've loved unexplained legends, strange phenomena and the scary, supernatural stories told around campfires," said Lowe in a statement. "When I became a father I shared those tales with my two sons. Together we bonded over Bigfoot, UFO's, and every creepy and bizarre story we could find, passionately debating if they were real...or not. And we swore that someday the three of us would go on our own adventure to find out.

That day has come."

Family Myth-busting?

The Lowe Files is currently going to premiere its first season with nine episodes, and each episode will see the family take on a different kind of urban legend. They will use the help of experts in specific areas to tackle these myths and try to provide a scientific point of view to the bizarre situations.

There are details already emerging regarding the topics that will be covered on the show, and this includes some fascinating ones like working with real shamans to talk to spirits, exploring the legitimacy of an alien base off the coast of Malibu, and understanding top-secret government techniques like remote viewing.

The family dynamic should be a major part of this new series, as we will be privy to three unique point of views regarding the same topic. Fans of Mythbusters should be excited for the new series which is set to premiere sometime this summer.
