The ladies of the "Real Housewives of Orange County" are about to return to the Bravo network and it is about to get crazy. Last season, the drama was on the screen, but it also took a leap of social media and things got brutal. The addition of Kelly Dodd to the cast got things stirred up, and it was pretty intense for most of the season.
Casting changes
Last season, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" featured only one new face. While she was a newbie, Kelly Dodd did some severe damage between the ladies. Meghan King Edmonds will not be returning for another round and neither will Heather Dubrow.
They both decided to walk away for different reasons, but rumor has it that Dubrow may be shopping around a solo show. Vicki Gunvalson, Shannon Beador, and Tamra Judge are all coming back along with Dodd. A familiar face from seasons past is returning as well. Get ready for Lydia McLaughlin to grace the small screen once again.
There were some heavy arguments between the cast members last season on Twitter. In fact, several of the old cast members weighed in on the issues that were happening. Gretchen Rossi and Lizzie Rovsek were siding with Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd against Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador. Some of the comments were pretty crass, and they made headlines for weeks. Bravo reportedly stepped in and asked them to stop with the social media, but because Rossi and Rovsek weren't under contract, there was nothing Bravo could do.
Bravo offers a bonus for silence
According to Radar Online, Bravo is offering the ladies a $30,000 bonus in addition to their contract if they keep their drama off of social media. It appears the network feels like too much got out for free instead of drawing in viewers. They wanted things to be done on the show and saved for the reunion instead of being plastered all over social media for people to see. Unfortunately, Bravo cannot control any of the ladies not under contract, and there is speculation Lizzie and Gretchen will be back to comment and stir the pot this time around also.
