According to a new report from the Variety news team, the "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 crew has decided to hire guests actors: June Squibb and Hal Holbrook (left) to come on and portray characters: Elsie Clatch and Lewis Clatch in the episode that's scheduled to air on March 23rd, 2017, which will be episode 17. Currently, the title for it, hasn't been revealed. They describe Elsie and Lewis as a married couple that end up, paying a visit to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital at some point. Unfortunately, they said that no other details were available for their plotline, so we have no idea why they will be there at the moment.

They're really elderly folks, so the possibilities seem endless.

Their accomplishments

June Squibb's acting resume, includes being nominated for an Academy Award for her work in the “Nebraska” film. She also delivered up an ark on Showtime's hit drama/comedy series: "Shameless." She's also scheduled to show up in a new feature film, labeled: "Table 19."

Hal Holbrook's resume, includes having an iconic Tony Award-winning one-man show, named: “Mark Twain Tonight.” He's also a winner of multiple Emmy awards. When FX's hit drama show: "Sons Of Anarchy" was on, he had a recurring role on it. He also guest starred on FOX's hit drama series: "Bones" this year, so he's been a pretty busy man.

Diane Pierce is returning

In their next, little scoop, they revealed that we'll also be seeing another guest character show up in this same episode, played by actress LaTanya Richardson Jackson. Apparently, she's going to be reprising her role as character Diane Pierce, who is Maggie's mother. So, that sounds like it could serve up a pretty interesting storyline.

The last time we saw Diane in action, she was dealing with a breast cancer issue, and decided to never tell Maggie about it even though she was planning to. Instead, she just left and told Maggie when she was ready to have her in her life, to let her know. So, yeah. It'll certainly be interesting to see what she's back for. As for the next episode 15, it's currently set to arrive next Thursday night, March 9th, 2017 at 7pm central time on ABC. Stay tuned.
