Hey, "The Blacklist" fans. Unfortunately, we have some semi-bad news for you guys. It turns out that your favorite show is going on a pretty long break, so the new episode 16 of season 4 will not be airing tonight. However, they are giving us the spin-off show "Redemption" in it's place, so that's the reason for the semi-bad news. More on that later. First, I need to tell you that the new episode 16, which is currently untitled, is scheduled to show up on Thursday night, April 20th, 2017 at 9pm central time, so be sure to make note of that on your TV schedules, so you don't miss out.
A pretty good alternative
Alright, so getting back to the spin-off show, "The Blacklist: Redemption." This is going to be what they'll be replacing your regular "Blacklist" show with during it's break. The spin-off premiered last week with the first episode, so they'll be showing episode 2, tonight, which is entitled: "Kevin Jensen." NBC delivered an official description of it, revealing to us that we're going to see a very close American journalist friend of Scottie, end up, getting arrested ,at some point, due to some false claims of espionage! This arrest is going to go down in a foreign country.
They did not mention which country this is, so that'll be a big question for this situation, along with, will these charges get dropped? Or will the friend have to take the wrap for it?
A big rescue plot gets executed
Next, we do learn that the Halcyon team is going react, fast, to this situation by launching a huge, last-ditch effort to rescue him. However, they will have to do it extremely quickly as they do mention that time is about to run out, and that they'll need to get this done before it does! So, that sounds like it'll serve up some very intense and suspenseful drama, which could be an excellent consolation to the regular Blacklist series. If it sounds like something you might want to watch, be sure to tune into NBC tonight.
If not, I would certainly make other plans for the next month and a half.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to scrape up any new details for episode 16, not even a title. They didn't leave a promo clip behind either, so we're completely in the dark other than the air date that I mentioned earlier. However, NBC could drop the official press release for it at anytime, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that, and stay tuned.
