Chance will also be donating to Social Works
Chance also announced his call to action that on top of the one million dollar donation, he announced that for every $100,000 raised, Social Works, a nonprofit organization would donate $10,000, starting with Westcott Elementary School.
The giving, Chance the Rapper, stated, "While I am frustrated and disappointed in the governor's inaction, that will not stop me from continuing to do all I can to support Chicago's most valuable resource: it's children," in a statement to the press.
Interestingly, Chance the Rapper is most notably known for not only his great music contributions but also, the way in which he earned his money in this music industry.
This twenty-three year old rapper has been largely successful with his music even after he refused to sign a record deal.
His latest album "Coloring Deal" was the first streaming only album to chart on Billboard's ranking. On top of that, this year at the Grammys 2017, Chance won Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance and Best New Album and a few of his songs were nominated for Best New Songs and Best Rap Collaboration.
