Ed Sheeran has been an underdog in the music industry since he first smashed the scene. His newest album "Divide" only adds to this nonstop success train as songs like "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill" wow fans and top charts. One distinguishing and addictive aspect of this new album is the diversity of its music from the Irish, "Nancy Mulligan" to the Caribbean, "Bibia Be Ye Ye."
Although Ed may soon run out of arithmetic symbols for album names, new opportunities for this musician seem increasingly abundant. One such opportunity will put Ed's vocals to rest as he works on his acting skills.
'Game of Thrones' cameo
Ed Sheeran's cameo in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 has been officially confirmed by executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Although the specifics of the role have not been released, the excitement for GOT and Sheeran fans is all too real. Allegedly, getting Ed Sheeran to appear on this raunchy and addictive HBO series has been a long desired dream of David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, with the goal of "surprising Masie [Williams]."
Joining a line of musical GOT actors
When Ed Sheeran appears in Season 7, he won't be the first musician to do so. Ed will be joining the ranks of Sigur Ros and Monsters and Men. Following the trend used for these musicians, this red ginger beauty will likely be a background character.
Without specifics, the Internet has already been brain-storming Ed Sheeran's role in the series, and many think the world of Westeros will be a good match.

Yay or nay? "Game of Thrones" fans will have to hold on to this anticipation just a little while longer as Season 7 does not premiere until July 16th.
But given the raging success of his newest album "Divide," it's very likely that his name will still be fresh on people's radar by then. And who knows? Maybe this singer, songwriter will make a tremendously successful break in the film industry and Ed's doppelganger Rupert Grint will be given a run for his money as most interesting on-screen, accented ginger.
