ABC’s "Dancing With The Stars” had a very interesting night during tonight's broadcast. Not only did we get to see the twelve couples dance again, but we also saw our first couple of the 24th season get eliminated. It may not have been a surprising elimination for some, but it was still sad to see someone go home so early in the competition.

After all, each couple works for several hours a day on each routine and many of these celebrities are stepping out of their comfort zones. No matter what, the eliminated couple should be proud of the work they have done and for bringing smiles to our faces.

Here is a look at who was eliminated, as well as some other highlights from the evening.

Warning: spoilers ahead!

Who went home?

The couple with the lowest combined scores and eliminated tonight was….Chris Kattan and Witney Carson. They were in the bottom two along with Charo and Keo Motsepe.

After he received the news, Chris talked about how wonderful Witney was and how he had an incredible time on the show. Although he took the news well, it was obvious he was disappointed to go home so early.

Other show highlights

There were plenty of interesting moments that occurred during tonight's show. We saw fun dancing, Len in a bad mood, Charo being Charo, and viewers finally found out what happened to Maks!

Here is a look at the night's other big moments.

Charo vs. Bruno

Charo and Bruno Tonioli seem to have some sort of battle royale happening in the ballroom. After she completed a very interesting paso doble, Bruno tried to give his commentary on her performance, in true Bruno style. She kept saying that she could not understand his accent.

He quipped that he never even knew he had an accent.

The two spar for a bit before co-host Tom Bergeron sends her back to get her scores. She keeps trying to make herself heard, so Tom finally gives her his microphone as she goes backstage. While there, she keeps trying to attack Bruno, who isn't shy about giving it back to her.

Needless to say, they made the night quite interesting.

What happened to Maks?

Maks Chmerkovskiy, who is partnered with Glee star Heather Morris this season, suffered from a calf injury and was unable to dance. Troupe dancer Alan Bersten filled in for him at the last minute. He and Heather pulled off a fun jive, which got mixed reviews from the judges.

Maks went on to say that he will have to have another doctor look at his calf and that this is not an injury where he can just go back to work. He promises to keep his fans updated as he gets news.

Next week

Next week, the remaining couples will dance to a Vegas theme. This has never been done before, so it would be interesting to see what happens. Hopefully, season five alum Wayne Newton will make an appearance. I guess we will have to tune in to see what happens!
