Nick Cannon has often said in interviews that he wanted to have five children. He already had twins, and now he has another child. On Tuesday, February 21, the 36-year-old comedian, host, and actor became a father to a baby boy with his longtime friend. Nick has three of the five children he wants. These days, celebrities are giving their children unique names. Cannon and the former Miss Arizona USA Brittany Bell named their baby Golden “Sagon” Cannon.

Nick was quite transparent in describing his relationship with Brittany.

He explained that he wanted someone to give him another child. He chose the baby's mother because he wanted someone with similar views as his. He and Brittany grew up together in the same project in San Diego. They have been friends and in each other's lives since they were children.

Nick was very happy when it was confirmed that Brittany was expecting. He made the announcement in December that he was having another child. He said just because his marriage was over with Mariah Carey, that didn't mean he couldn't continue to grow a family. People are wondering if he will have other children with Brittany, or if he will choose someone else to give him the other two children that he wants.

Cannon made the announcement about his third child by posting a beautiful black-and-white photo of himself holding Golden along with a scripture from Psalm 30:5 that says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

Nick Cannon's other children are 5-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, whose mother is Mariah Carey.

After six years of marriage, Nick filed for divorce on December 12, 2014. The divorce became final in 2016 even though they both had moved on with their lives long before then. They still see each other often because they co-parent their children, and they spend most holidays together.

Mariah reportedly has congratulated her ex-husband on the birth of his new son. It will not surprise anyone if Nick's new child will soon be introduced to his other siblings.
