The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Michelle Obama will be a guest judge on chef Gordon Ramsey’s cooking competition show “masterchef junior.” The popular former First Lady’s appearance comes after former judge Graham Elliot’s departure. Rather than replace Elliot with someone permanent, the show’s honchos decided to bring in guest celebrity judges instead. Other guest star line-ups include lifestyle maven Martha Stewart, along with a few Muppets. Miss Piggy might want to be careful she doesn’t mistakenly end up on a platter. Kermit may not be out of the woods, either, since frog legs can be tasty too.

An outspoken advocate in the fight against childhood obesity, Michelle Obama has also appeared in an episode of the cooking show “Barefoot Contessa” with host Ina Garten. Throughout her eight-year tenure inside the White House, Mrs. Obama promoted healthy living for kids through her Let’s Move! campaign. She even planted a vegetable garden at the White House. The much-admired FLOTUS encouraged kids to eat their fruits and vegetables, and led the fight for healthy school lunches. As for “MasterChef Junior,” Gordon Ramsey says this season’s contestants are bloody good.

What will life after the White House be like for the Obamas?

After campaigning with Hillary Clinton in one of the most contentiously brutal presidential races in U.S.

history, the Obamas set sails for a relaxing vacation in Palm Springs, and on billionaire’s Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. Judging from former President Barack Obama’s kite surfing photos, he had a blast embracing the beach bum life, if only for a moment.

Getting back in the public spotlight

While it’s unclear just what Barack Obama has planned post-presidency, Michelle Obama has clearly not changed her mind about children and food. Maybe there is a nutritional cooking show in her future. Tune in to see if these junior chefs will create some healthy dishes to satisfy the former First Lady’s discerning taste buds.
