The wait is finally over for Prithviraj fans as the much-awaited Malayalam movie of the year "Ezra" was released on February 10, 2017.

Touted to be the Mollywood version of Hollywood's "Conjuring", this big budget outing features an ensemble star cast including young Superstar prithviraj sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Priya Anand, Babu Antony and Vijayaraghavan.

Initial reports from the playhouses suggest that this horror thriller has hit the Bull's Eye, and it has reportedly shattered the traditional cliches surrounding the desi horror movies.

'Ezra': A horror movie of International Standards

As expected, Jay K who made his directorial debut through "Ezra" has delivered a horror movie of International standards; let it be the sound design, cinematography, or editing.

From the scene one, Jay has created a strange menacing mood, and it is capable of pulling the audiences to a state of intense fear. The film narrates the story of two different centuries, and apart from horror, the film handles different emotions which are innate in the human mind.

Abraham Ezra: The wounded soul

"Ezra" tells the mysterious story of a newly married couple who comes and stays in a dark haunted house. The bungalow has a Jewish background, and within few days, the couple starts witnessing some strange incidents.

Soon, one of them gets possessed with the soul of Abraham Ezra who lived around 50 years back.

Prithviraj Sukumaran: Unveiling the difference all the time

Prithvi is slowly emerging as the flagship holder of Mollywood Industry, and as always, through "Ezra", he has made himself the part of a very different horror movie. As an actor, he has delivered his best in this movie.

The surprise package in this flick is the performance of Tovino Thomas as the young Police officer. His eyes spoke a lot in this film, and undoubtedly, his role in this movie can be considered as his career best performance.

Box-office prediction

"Ezra" is expected to mark the biggest opening of Prithviraj in his career. The booking status in multiplexes is highly overwhelming, and in all probabilities, this flick is expected to gross more than 10 Crores by the end of this weekend.
