bethenny frankel and her former husband, jason hoppy, have been thrust into the headlines with his recent stalking arrest and now, a report claims the ordeal led Frankel to skip out on a recent filming session for the upcoming 9th season of "The Real Housewives of New York City."
On Friday night, after an incident between Frankel and Hoppy led to his arrest, the reality star and Skinnygirl creator failed to attend an event with her co-stars, including Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Tinsley Mortimer, Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps.
As Page Six revealed on February 1, Hoppy was charged with stalking and harassing Frankel after sending her a series of abusive emails and turning up at their daughter Bryn’s Manhattan school.
In regard to the incident, an NYPD spokeswoman told Page Six that Hoppy approached his reality star ex-wife and a friend at the school and “tried to provoke a fight." As the spokeswoman revealed, Hoppy allegedly threatened to destroy Frankel. However, according to his attorney, Hoppy intends to fight back against the "false charges.”
'RHONY' filmed at the Dressed to Kilt charity fashion show on Friday
After Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy reportedly came to blows, her co-stars came together for season nine.
Although Frankel hasn't publicly spoken about her "no-show," a source close to her informed Page Six that she did not attend the filming session because of Friday’s dispute with her former partner. That said, Frankel did travel to the Killington Ski Resort in Vermont a short time later to film with her co-stars, so when it comes to the possibility of a permanent exit, there doesn't appear to be plans for any such thing.
Frankel rejoined the cast of "The Real Housewives of New York City" during the show's 7th season after leaving the series after season three to star in her own show with Hoppy prior to their 2010 wedding. No word yet on when Bethenny Frankel and her co-stars will return to Bravo for "The Real Housewives of New York City" season nine.
