Is Tarek El Moussa making an effort to get back together with his estranged wife, Christina? As new episodes of the former couple's HGTV house-flipping series, "Flip or Flop," continue to air, a report has hit the web claiming Tarek recently ended his short-lived romance with his kids' former nanny, Alyssa Logan.

Last week, Hollywood Life shared a magazine report which suggested Tarek called it quits with the 23-year-old nanny after just two months of dating. As the outlet explained, Logan had watched over the El Moussa's children, 7-year-old Taylor Reese and 1-year-old Brayden James, for a short time last year -- before the start of her alleged romance with the newly single Tarek.

Tarek's split has reportedly come as a blow to Alyssa Logan

“She’s a mess right now,” a friend of the nanny explained. And perhaps adding insult to injury is the fact that Tarek and Christina were recently seen grabbing coffee together in Los Angeles. They even reportedly spent Christmas as a family with their two kids.

Meanwhile, Tarek and the nanny reportedly began their relationship months after his May 2016 split from Christina -- and after Tarek canned her from her position. As the outlet explained, Tarek was advised against dating an employee, so rather than make himself look bad, he chose to fire her before their romance began. Sadly, however, Alyssa "gave up her reputation” among other things, and was “totally blindsided” when Tarek informed her that their relationship was over.

Tarek announced his split from Christina last month

After initially parting ways in May of last year, the "Flip or Flop" stars confirmed the news of their separation with fans on December 12 after a report claimed they had come to blows during an odd incident involving guns at their Southern California home.

To see more of Christina and Tarek El Moussa, tune in to new episodes of "Flip or Flop" season seven, which air every Thursday night at 9 p.m. on HGTV. There has been no word yet on whether or not the series will be canceled at the end of the season.
