Hey, "Law And Order: Special Victims Unit" fans. You've reached the right place if you're looking for some new spoiler intel for the upcoming episode 9 of season 18, because that's exactly what we have for you. They come from the official NBC press release by way of the Futon Critic folks. Unfortunately, they left us with a very short spoiler scoop, covering only one storyline reveal, but we'll do what we always do, and make the best of it. It does sound quite serious as a very powerful family gets brought into play when some more never ending rape allegations get tossed around.

Are they true?

We've also got a title reveal for this one. It was given the name: "Decline and Fall" from the showrunners. That could be a very telling description for this installment. Of course, we don't know for sure, because they only gave us one plotline teaser, but I digress. Lets get into this main synopsis storyline. It turns out that a bartender that's featured in this episode, is either going to have it in for a very rich family, or will actually have a legitimate claim of rape that needs to be addressed. Whatever the case, this bartender is going to start screaming rape at some point. They didn't reveal if this bartender is male or female, so we don't have that intel. We just know that he or she has a very serious claim to make, and things are not going to get pretty with this one.

They're not backing down

The family that's mentioned in this case, apparently owns a large retail empire, which definitely raises the question of are these rape claims motivated by money or by a real emotional trauma that occurred. Whatever the case, this family is not going to take these claims lightly as it's described that they are going to do something that they're calling closing ranks.

And you know? I'm not going to lie. I had to Google exactly what that meant. What I learned is closing ranks means these folks are going to come together and back each other up to fight this horrible accusation of rape.

Possible big fight

So, it sounds like whether or not this bartender is lying, he or she will definitely have a very big fight on their hands, trying to prove it, which means this could be quite a dramatic and very intense episode.

Of course, those are always good elements to have in these, so you guys should definitely enjoy it if all the above statements turn out to be true.

Ok, that's going to do it for this spoiler session. However, NBC may be dropping a new spoiler clip right after episode 8 airs tonight, so you might definitely want to lookout for that as it should show some extra information. The press release also gave us confirmation that episode 9 is set to air on Wednesday night, January 18th, 2017 at 8pm central time. Stay tuned.
