After waiting for nine long months, elated mom, Janet Jackson is officially a new mother! The Rhythm Nation singer gave birth to her son and first born child early this morning. People Magazine broke the news today, after an exclusive telephone interview with Ms. Jackson's representative. The songstress and her husband Wassim Al Mana are completely elated to welcome the newest addition to the Al Mana family, reported her Rep.

Janet Jackson delivered her son Eissa Al Mana

Janet gave birth to her little bundle of joy on January 3, 2017. Her representative also stated that the new mom had a natural delivery and is resting comfortably with Wassim and her baby Eissa Al Mana.

The Qatar billionaire and Janet Jackson tied the knot in 2012. She announced her pregnancy last May and sent the media outlets and social media platforms in a whirlwind. Jackson at that time was approaching another milestone in her life, she was about to turn 50 years old.

Last April, while not revealing much information the popular celebrity canceled the remainder of her 'Unbreakable World Tour' citing that she needed to spend more time with her husband and concentrate on her family. Jackson released the good news, without saying a lot on the Twitter social media platform. She had also posted an accompanying video clip along with her tweet.

She alluded that the couple was planning their family so she had to cancel the rest of her tour until a later time.

This information sent her fans into a frenzy even without the singer announcing that she was officially pregnant.

Jackson and Wassim no longer expecting - they are now proud parents

However, after revealing that she was expecting a baby with her husband, she remained out of sight and kept a very low profile, and was rarely seen out in public.

But, she kept close contact with editors at People's Magazine. In September she was briefly spotted out and about in London with her husband Wassim Al Manna shopping for items for her new baby.

The very pregnant Jackson also shared a picture with PEOPLE in October, which was published by the magazine that had also reported that Janet Jackson's pregnancy was going well, and she was very happy about being a mom for the first time.
