Fans of "Flip or Flop" may be in for some bad news. As Tarek and Christina El Moussa prepare to end their marriage after just seven years, a new report has suggested that HGTV, the network behind the house-flipping series, is considering the idea of canceling their show.

While no official announcements have been made in regard to a possible cancelation, a source recently spoke to In Touch Weekly magazine and suggested that the series' future is not bright. Instead, the source alleged, producers are allegedly planning to take the show off the air.

They’re livid about the very public drama between [Tarek and Christina El Moussa] and think it’s hurting their brand tremendously,” an insider said.

The "Flip or Flop" couple kept their separation secret for several months, but ultimately, news of their new relationships hit the web, as did details of a bizarre incident involving Tarek and a gun. Since then, the couple has confirmed they've been separated since May of last year -- and been co-parenting their two children, daughter Taylor Reese, and son Brayden, ever since.

Could a 'Flip or Flop' spin-off be in the works?

According to In Touch Weekly's report, via Hollywood Life, Christina El Moussa is apparently hoping for her own show without her now-estranged husband.

Although no exact details regarding the potential series were given, the outlet claimed a solo show would come with "major perks" for Christina.

Tarek and Christina have reportedly been fighting behind the scenes

The In Touch Weekly source revealed that the stars of the show have allegedly been at war on set, with "nonstop fighting and drama." So, because of the heightened tension behind the scenes, Christina knew she and Tarek's roles with the network were in jeopardy.

In turn, the television star reportedly pitched her own show to the network in hopes of continuing her filming responsibilities.

To see more of Tarek and Christina El Moussa, tune in to "Flip or Flop" season seven, which is currently airing every Thursday night at 9 p.m. on HGTV.
