Christina El Moussa is allegedly hoping to score her own show on HGTV. Following her highly publicized split from husband Tarek, Christina, who shares two children with her former partner, is said to be gunning for a new show with the network, which will not include Tarek.
Just days after Tarek filed for divorce amid rumors of Christina's alleged relationship with Gary Anderson, their former contractor, a source tells In Touch Weekly magazine that Christina is playing nice with Tarek -- but only because she wants her own show. As the outlet revealed, HGTV allegedly warned Tarek and Christina that if they didn't cooperate, they could be sued for breach of contract.
So, rather than act out on set, Christina is reportedly going along with production as planned.
“[Christina] has been talking to [the network] about her own series without [Tarek],” a source close to the former couple revealed to the magazine on January 23, claiming Christina told HGTV that she wants a young, sexy co-star to appear alongside her.
Christina recently addressed the idea of a new show
As the magazine revealed to readers, Christina was recently asked about the possibility of starring in her own show during one of her Success Path seminars. In response, she replied, “I don’t know. I’ve got so many things going on. I’m working on so much already.” As for how the network feels, they would likely prefer that Christina and Tarek stay together and continue on with their popular series.
Unfortunately, that is no longer a possibility.
Although nothing is set in stone at this point when it comes to a spinoff, Christina has allegedly informed her estranged husband, with whom she shares two children, that she sees herself as the single version of Joanna Gaines and would love her own design show. As fans of HGTV well know, Joanna Gaines is one half of the cast of "Fixer Upper."
