"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will not continue after the finale. Fans are wondering how this long-running series will end. Synopsis for season 8, episode 7

After accepting the deal with Cade (Wole Parks) a.k.a. the devil on "The Vampire Diaries," Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) has 24 hours before he goes to work collecting souls.

He is determined to have something go according to plan and that is Christmas Eve with Caroline Forbes (Candice King). However, Damon Salvatore and Sybil end up crashing the party.

Does Damon kill Stefan on 'The Vampire Diaries'?

In a promo clip for the next episode of "TVD," Damon announces that before the night is over, one of them is going to die. Later, he attacks Caroline and someone lays on the floor motionless. At the end of the clip, Caroline guzzles champagne straight from the bottle while talking about how Stefan is dead. Did Damon kill Stefan or is it a figure of speech?

Cade's mysterious agenda for Stefan Salvatore on 'TVD'

The synopsis also teases that Stefan will have flashbacks.

During these, Cade will try to entice him with a "mysterious agenda." There is no telling what it could be, but Stefan is faced with an unimaginable choice. Will he be forced to kill someone he cares about?

Where is Bonnie Bennett?

A lot of people are at Stefan and Caroline's Christmas party except for Bonnie (Kat Graham). Where is she and will she be seen again before the season finale of "The Vampire Diaries"?

Or will she show up and be determined to make Sybil pay for what she has done to Enzo, played by Michael Malarkey?
