When thinking of the phrase "put him down," fans automatically think that Stefan will kill Damon in "TVD." However, there is another theory. Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) told Stefan last week that the only way to save Damon was to make a deal with the devil. That seems unlikely, but maybe Stefan will put Damon somewhere so he is unable to hurt anyone else?

In the extended promo for "The Vampire Diaries," Damon is seen in the last few seconds trapped behind a glass window. He is banging and screaming in anger. It looks just like the observation room at the Armory where Sybil was taken.
Could Stefan trap his brother and put him in the Armory in order to prevent any more deaths?
