In the world of “Shadowhunters,” nothing can bind two people with such adamantine strength as a Parabatai bond. To lose one would be unthinkable. And yet, that is the very problem Jace and Alec will face as season 2 begins. The first five episode titles are here, and there is one in particular that has fans biting their nails.
‘Shadowhunters’ Parabatai flirt with danger
Jace (Dominic Sherwood) and Alec (Mattew Daddario) are New York City’s premiere Parabatai. A fighting powerhouse, the Nephilim are connected in more ways than one. Sworn to follow each other to the grave, the warriors will feel the weight of each other’s absence as Jace trades the Institute for his Valentine’s boat.
Known for his grave-faced stoicism, Alec will be at a loss without his brother in arms. Titled “Parabatai Lost,” episode 3 will tackle their issues head on.
“He doesn’t like it. That’s a primary issue,” Daddario told With An Accent TV. “He’s not handling it well. He’s not himself at all. [Part of himself ] is missing. He has no way to handle this. He doesn’t know how to deal with it at all. He doesn’t know who to turn to.”

Picking up in the wake of the season 1 finale, “The Guilty Blood” will explore Clary (Katherine McNamara) and co.’s battle to find a missing Jace.
“Only hours have passed since Jace left with Valentine and all hell has broken loose at The Institute,” freeform teased. “Alec, Isabelle and Clary are desperate to find Jace, but are quickly stopped in their tracks with the arrival of Victor Aldertree, who means business about getting the Institute back on track. But getting the New York Shadowhunters in-line with The Clave may be counterintuitive to Alec, Isabelle and Clary's plan to rescue Jace.”
