Yes it's true, the London fans of Tituss Burgess will get to see the star in the flesh after he announced a solo gig at the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square on the 22nd and 23rd September 2016. This will mark his London début and I'm certain this is not his last.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Tituss Burgess shot to fame after starring in Tina Fey's comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Burgess plays Kimmy Schmidt's friend, a flamboyant, struggling performer whose witty and over the top performance literally has me rolling over with laughter on my living room floor.

His character Titus Andromedon, is best known in the show for spontaneously breaking out into song every five seconds which is entertaining and frankly astounding. His voice is simply stunning and it never fails to captivate me. Kimmy is forever paying his rent and encouraging him to pursue his dreams of becoming a Broadway star (oh the irony). Being an avid performer myself, I can definitely relate to this character and I think his ambitious, no-nonsense attitude is what makes viewers fall in love with him.

Solo apprearance long over-due.

Tituss Burgess says of the appearance of his solo gig in London, as being 'long overdue', according to clublondon and I couldn't agree more. Burgess has appeared in FOUR Broadway musicals which were Good Vibrations, Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid and Guys and Dolls.

He did all this before his appearance on the television comedy and bagged the role of Titus after featuring in another of Tina Fey's shows 30 Rock. Burgess is Emmy Award nominated but has managed to win two awards for his role in the Netflix original series. The second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has only recently come out on Netflix and I've already binge watched them all.

Tickets sold at Club London

I am absolutely gutted to have missed out on tickets but let's hope he returns again soon. Unfortunately tickets are already sold out on the Club London website.. Burgess has certainly got a very bright future ahead of him and I'm super excited for when he comes over to London. I'll be waiting anxiously by the Stage Door with a glass of his own branded Pinot Noir. Yes he has his own brand of wine.
