For the past few days, we are able to witness 'The Big Dog' Roman Reigns losing to superstars like 'The Architect' seth rollins and The Miz. The man who defeated Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all is now losing to other superstars. This gives a hint that something is not right between Roman and WWE.
Seth Rollins - A New Star
Roman Reigns recently lost to Seth Rollins in a Gauntlet match. Seth Rollins wrestled in a gauntlet match for more than an hour breaking the Monday Night Raw's record of longest gauntlet match ever. He also defeated John Cena in that same gauntlet match.
He proved himself by beating two best wrestlers on the same night back to back in a gauntlet match.
Dave Meltzer recently reported in The Wrestling News Observer that there is currently a shortage of top heels in the WWE's RAW brand and the plan after WrestleMania is to turn Rollins heel and have him feud with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
He was originally slated to take on Jason Jordan, however, after Jordan's injury, that plan was scrapped. Rollins is at the end of the list to possibly team with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.
Who is Seth Rollins?
Seth Rollins is an established WWE Wrestler who came to WWE after wrestling in ROH as Tyler Black. He is Money in the Bank winner who cashed in his contract at Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
He is a multi-time WWE champion, tag team champion, Universal, champion, and NXT champion as well.
He has faced multiple superstars in his career including The Icon Sting, The Game Triple H, The Beast Brock Lesnar, The Big Dog Roman Reigns, The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose, The Hardy Boys, Sheamus, Cesaro, Finn Balor and other top superstars.
He was a part of a faction named 'Authority' which consisted of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kane, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble. That was a time when Triple H helped Rollins to rise to become a top star.Rollins made his main roster debut on at Survivor Series alongside Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, attacking Ryback during the triple threat main event for the WWE Championship, allowing CM Punk to pin John Cena and retain the title.
The trio declared themselves The Shield, vowed to rally against "injustice" and would deny working for Punk, but they routinely emerged from the crowd to attack Punk's adversaries. CM Punk was the WWE champion during that time alongside Paul Heyman. Seth Rollins is a superstar who is crowd's favorite right now.
