In a world that praises the outgoing, friendly, and talkative extroverts, it can be difficult to understand why it is beneficial to be an Introvert. As an introvert myself, I relate heavily to the stereotypes that are associated with introverts, but the truth of the matter is that both introverts and extroverts are needed to balance out any sort of project or task. Therefore, for all of you introverts out there who may be doubting your capabilities, here are some of the best things about being an introvert.

Self-reflection

You take the time to collect your thoughts and come to a well thought out solution about a problem you may be having at work or a decision you made that went sour. Nothing is rushed, and you often aren't susceptible to impulsive decisions.

Observance

You are extremely observant of your surroundings, and you notice the small things that many other people don't. Because of this, you're more likely to react in a manner that is suited to your environment, and you have the power to mimic the behavior of others in a setting where that mimicry is important such as an office, a classroom, a meeting, etc.

Quiet nature

You're probably loved by your neighbors and your librarian because you see the advantages of silence. It doesn't need to be awkward, and you recognize that you don't need to be saying something all the time. In fact, you do your best thinking in complete silence, and you're less likely to annoy or bother others around you.

Good listener

We all know that most of us listen to speak and not to actually listen to what someone else is saying, but not introverts. You are great at hearing somebody out, and you fully take what that person has said into consideration before you respond. It's an essential skill to have in life, no matter where you are, because people will always appreciate someone who values what they have to say.

Focus

You know those people who can't sit still for an hour and work on something? Well, you don't have that problem. You have the ability to Focus on a specific project or task for long periods of time, which is great for getting the things done that we least want to do. Being able to focus in any situation is a skill that will always come in handy.

Imagination

Because most introverts spend time alone with their thoughts, their imagination often runs wild. You are most likely, therefore, a very creative person. You are a storyteller, and you don't have an issue coming up with innovative ideas when given the chance because you thoroughly enjoy your solitude.
