I woke up this morning with the name Tulsi Gabbard invading my mind. I figured it wasn't real. But I was on the case. Of course, it only took a second to see that there is a Tulsi Gabbard, pictured above. She is presently a member of Congress from Hawaii. She is many other things but in my book of life everything comes down to values and hers appear to be on the side of the angels. She is not alone. Anyone who values tolerance, helpfulness, and democracy is angelic if their acts and expressions are consistent.
Tulsi trip
My exploration continued on Twitter @TulsiGabbard where she has 150k followers.
That registers less with me than the quality of her tweets. I only needed to read the first three to become interested. I am interested in anyone who actually is reasonable in criticism of the president. I am going to relay these tweets in order to see if you agree.
Trump's harmful arms deal
POTUS $460B Saudi arms deal only prolongs & complicates our fight against terrorism - ensuring another decade of unjust wars in the MidEast
— Tulsi Gabbard (@TulsiGabbard) May 20, 2017
That's a pretty concise statement from a woman who was is actually a Captain who served in Iraq. She has also spoken directly with Syria's Assad. I shall see what I can find on how she might proceed if she were president. She has been considered for that post by politicians of all stripes.
Saudis will use Trump's gift to kill Yemeni civilians
Trump's arms deal enables Saudi to use US-made weapons in their war crimes against Yemeni civilians in a brutal civil war #StopArmingSaudi
— Tulsi Gabbard (@TulsiGabbard) May 20, 2017
This is what Trump calls civilization. Killing the other side, whoever the other side happens to be.
Generally referred to as they and them. This is what the alt-right calls deep-state neocon more of the same. But that criticism is hardly the province of the alt-right. Anyone who is reasonable looks askance at the binary, we-they mentality that seems to animate our president.
Gabbard calls Saudis a 'brutal theocracy'
Trump support of Saudi Arabia-a brutal theocracy & biggest sponsor of terrorism & the Wahhabi Salafi ideology fueling it-is a HUGE betrayal
— Tulsi Gabbard (@TulsiGabbard) May 21, 2017
This is the reason I posted these tweets.
The fact is that Gabbard speaks with the force of trump. Trump is forceful, give him that. He forced his way into the minds of, well, almost half the electorate. This is a pregnant tweet. Let's break it down.
Brutality
The brutality to which Gabbard refers is shockingly evident in the following tweet that will lead you to graphic evidence of what she is talking about.

Biggest terrorism sponsor
Multiple attestations validate Gabbard's facts. The tweet below substantiates what all say. Terrorism's largest state sponsor is Saudi Araba.
Saudi Arabia is the Top Sponsor of Terrorism, Not Iran https://t.co/yNV3i0O7GA

Wahhabi Salafi ideology is the final phrase
This is the teaching that essentially justifies cruel and unreasonable measures to control the actions of subjects. There is a debate about whether it can be seen as a cause of terrorism but an ideology that can stimulate suicide bombings and that condones violence as a form of punishment is at least a candidate for that invidious distinction.
Tulsi reminds me of the care the Kennedys took to give their political statements resonance beyond being dog whistles.
