American casino mogul Steve Wynn announced his resignation from his position as finance chair of the Republican National Committee, as numerous women accuse him of Sexual Harassment. Steve is also a major financial contributor to the Republican Party.

Several women have come forward accusing Steve Wynn of sexual harassment. Steve called these accusations preposterous and has denied these allegations. Wynn resigned and released a statement announcing his resignation and said that the work to make America better is too important to be bogged down by this distraction.

Steve thanked President Trump for the opportunity to serve in this role. Steve Wynn is also be investigated by an independent committee established by the Wynn Resorts board of directors. The RNC has not named a replacement but RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said she accepted his resignation. McDaniel spoke to Trump aboard Air Force One informing him of Wynn's resignation. As the allegations began to surface share price of Wynn Resorts fell 10 percent.

Democrats demanding RNC cut ties with Wynn.

As the allegations continued to bubble up, Democrats have been urging the Republican party to cut all ties with Steve Wynn and to give back all the donations Wynn has given. DNC spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said that if you stand for respecting women, you should not accept money from someone who has treated women disrespectfully.

As harassment accusations were made against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, Republicans urged the Democrats to return donations made by Weinstein. The Democrats are now attacking the Republicans for remaining silent on this issue.

He has been an influential donor to the RNC and has donated to the NRSC, the NRCC, President Trump's inaugural committee and has even contributed to individual Republican lawmakers and certain Republican causes.

During the 2016 election, Wynn gave $100,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Former RNC spokesman Doug Heye was one of the first to speak out against him, saying he needs to leave.

Steve made his billions through the construction and operation of many top-tier Las Vegas casinos including The Mirage, Treasure Island, and the Bellagio. He eventually sold them all to MGM Grand Inc. Wynn is alleged to have a fortune of $3.5 billion. Steve Wynn is blaming his ex-wife for the slander. They are currently in court fighting a lawsuit.
