After threatening to physically assault the media during a series of tweets on Saturday, former Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke was reported to Twitter for his actions. In response, Clarke didn't back down and went back on the attack against the press.

Clarke on media

It all started when the media reported that the FBI had obtained a warrant to search the email address of David Clarke pertaining to a lawsuit that was filed earlier this year against the sheriff for allegedly bullying a passenger on an airplane and abusing his power of authority. The case was eventually dropped due to lack of evidence, but that didn't stop Clarke from criticizing the media for reporting it.

In several tweets on Saturday, Clarke threatened to "b*tch slap" the media, while using a photoshopped image of himself and President Donald Trump performing a WWE wrestling move on an edited wrestler made out to be the cable news representation of CNN. Following his tirade on social media, Clarke was reported to Twitter for his threats, though they didn't find evidence to suspend his account or remove his posts. As seen in a new set of posts on December 31, the former sheriff is doubling down.

"Nothing like getting under the skin of lefties like I did today," David Clarke tweeted out, before saying "I fight to win." "You come at me libs you better bring a hard hat, some aspirin and your veggie wrap because it’s going to be a long day and I’m going to smack you around until you crawl back to your mom’s basement," he added.

"I keep warning the LYING LIB MEDIA and their liberal goons NOT TO POKE THE DOG because I BITE BACK," David Clarke added in a follow-up tweet, while attaching an image of a barking dog.

"I WASN’T BUILT TO BACK DOWN. They are not used to THIS conservative’s style of SMASH-MOUTH POLITICS," he continued, while using the "MAGA" hashtag to show his support for Donald Trump with clear opposition of fighting back against the majority of the mainstream media.

Clarke's rage

In his next tweet, David Clarke attached a picture of Winston Churchill talking about the right to free speech before adding thoughts of his own.

"This meme epitomizes the attitude of the LYING LIB MEDIA and their goon liberal followers," Clarke wrote. "Two UNFOUNDED Twitter complaints were made yesterday against me as I PUNKED THEM OUT for a drive-by hit job they did with FAKE NEWS," he continued, while stating, "When they get hit back they run to mommy to whine."

As David Clarke and others on the far-right remain aggressive against the press on social media, only time will tell if they end up crossing the line in the future.
