Two of the biggest news stories to dominate the political headlines over the last 24 hours comes in the form of an explosive report by NBC News alleging a rift between President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, in addition to the mass shooting in Las Vegas. After Presidential Counsel Kellyanne Conway gave her thoughts during a recent interview, critics made sure to lash out on social media.
Conway on CNN
During his first nine months in office, Donald Trump has struggled to keep his team together and follow through on the promise he made on the campaign trail.
Several high-level members of his administration have either been fired or resigned, including Steve Bannon, Reince Preibus, Michael Flynn, Sean Spicer. On Wednesday, NBC News broke an exclusive story that detailed the turmoil behind the scenes at the White House, including Rex Tillerson alleging calling the president a "f**king moron." The former host of "The Apprentice" wasted no time denying the report in question, before later calling on Congress to investigate the contents. The story comes just days after the worst mass shooting in American history reignited the debate over gun control following the deaths over 59 civilians. These issues and more were discussed with Kellyanne Conway during an October 5 interview on CNN.

While joining CNN host Chris Cuomo for an interview on Thursday's edition of "New Day," Kellyanne Conway did her best to defend Donald Trump and the White House from the aforementioned NBC News report, but didn't entirely deny the remarks made by Tillerson. "Secretary Tillerson did a couple remarkable things yesterday, he got the president to say he had full confidence in him," Conway said.

"He said he never once thought of resigning,"Kellyanne Conway said, while claiming Rex Tillerson "He said he never once thought of resigning and he supports the president as much today as the day he took this job." The former Trump campaign manager and current adviser praised Tillerson for his press conference on the issue, while appearing to get aggressive with the CNN host.
In addition to the NBC News story, Conway went on to blame the news media, Barack Obama, and even Hillary Clinton for the results of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, while deflecting blame from Republicans to the Democrats.
