In the wake of the Vegas shooting, Stephen Paddock’s brother Bruce has been arrested for multiple counts of child pornography. This includes pictures of prepubescent children. He was arrested at 10:56 am on Wednesday after the police capitalized on a tip that he had child pornography saved on his computer. The sources later went on to tell the cops where he was located.

Stephen Paddock, Bruce’s brother, was the perpetrator of the deadliest shooting massacre in the United States history, which left 58 people deceased and over five hundred others wounded.

Bruce, however, was not investigated as part of the mass shooting that his brother committed.

The sting

Bruce is being held on a $60,000 bail at the Los Angeles Police Department after being arrested for possession of more than 600 pornographic images of children, 19 counts involving exploitation of a child. After the shooting, the police tried to hunt Bruce down and were tipped off by an unknown source that he was living in an assisted-living home. After finding out where he was the cops moved in quickly. Both the police and the FBI were in on the sting that would land Bruce a hefty jail sentence if convicted.

At first, after the Las Vegas shooting, the police tried to find Bruce Paddock. Unable to find him because he was homeless, the search intensified.

After the shooting, investigators and reporters tracked down Stephen and Bruce’s brother Eric Paddock where he spoke about the kind of person that Paddock saying that Stephen was extremely intelligent and elaborated on the men’s childhoods.

Eric said the brothers had grown up poor in the San Bernardino Valley and that their parents had trouble raising them.

The boys didn’t have a lot of stability because their father spent years on the FBI most-wanted list as a notorious bank robber. With the boys’ mother being born during the depression, they didn’t have a lot of money. Eric went on to say that he and his brothers were known to be troublemakers at times.

The Los Angeles Police Department feels that this arrest is a minor victory in the wake of this month’s events, but they have made the world a little safer by getting Bruce Paddock off of the streets and cracking down on child pornography. Bruce’s mug shot was released earlier today after he was booked. However, there has been no word on whether Bruce Paddock has gotten an attorney or who will be representing him.
