On Tuesday, the White House officially announced that it was ending what has been known as Daca, or the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Following the defense given by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, critics of the president were quick to fire back on social media.
Sanders on DACA
When news circulated over the weekend that Donald Trump was planning to eliminate DACA, negative reaction from the majority of the mainstream media and his political opponents sparked. DACA allows undocumented children who were brought to the United States by their parents to remain in the country if they go to school, obtain a work visa, or serve in the military.
As expected, Trump has not been a fan of the executive order put in place by former President Barack Obama, despite recently claiming that his administration "love DREAMers." As with other policies made law during the Obama administration, the former host of "The Apprentice" took steps to erase DACA. Following the official decision by the White House, backlash quickly followed and was not positive for the president. In response, Sarah Huckabee Sanders addressed the issue with reporters on September 5.

While holding a press briefing at the White House on Tuesday, the press secretary gave her best defense to Donald Trump's decision to remove DACA from law.
"It’s not coldhearted for the President to uphold the law," Sanders said, before stating that the United States is "a nation of law and order." "If we stop becoming the country that we were envisioned to be, then we throw away what makes us special, which makes America unique," she continued.

Not stopping there, Sarah Huckabee Sanders then called on the American people to cheer Donald Trump over his decision.
"I think people across this country should be celebrating the fact that they have a President that is standing up and upholding the Constitution as he was elected to do," Sanders noted.
Twitter reacts
Not long after Sarah Huckabee Sanders gave her remarks about DACA, social media quickly went viral in their attack on the administration.
"Irma is now a Category 5 hurricane. (Sanders) remains a Category 5 shit storm," one tweet read.
Best part about Sarah Huckabee Sanders' "briefing" is her worshipping trump & mistakenly saying President Obama's name twice. We know girl.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, how dare you! @POTUS' end of DACA doesn't bring fairness. It kills fairness and replaces it with sadistic abuse.
