The Charlottesville rally’s real intention is to preserve the Lee statue and unite white nationalists

The Charlottesville rally at the University of Virginia on August 11-12, 2017 was bloody and very violent that claimed three lives and wounded 38 others. The protesters opposed the removal of the statue of Robert E. Lee from the Emancipation Park (formerly known as the Lee Park). The renaming of the park was declared as one of the reasons for the protest according to protest leader Jason Kessier.

Another leader Nathan Damigo said that it is intended to unite white supremacist factions.

Before the August rally, some rallies have transpired in May and July of this year to protest the plan to remove Lee’s statue. The most recent where Chris Cantwell was identified as organizer revealed that hate and violence have already crept into the lives of the normal American.
