Rapper DMX pays $500,000 bail bond for his liberty
DMX whose real name is Earl Simmons appeared before a judge and made a not guilty plea to the charges.
He posted bail bond amounting to $500,000 for his temporary liberty. Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said that Simmons earned millions from his songs including his hit song “X Gon' Give it to Ya.” However, he failed to remit his tax payments to the IRS.
The taxation bureau revealed that DMX earned $2.3 million from 2010 to 2015 but did not pay his tax obligation out of his earnings. He also failed to pay his taxes from his 2002 to 2005 income of $1.7 million. The next hearing will be on August 1 as reported by CNN. The singer has been earning millions but failed to pay his obligation to the government.
Simmons avoided paying taxes by renouncing his bank accounts and creating bank accounts in another person’s name and paying his expenses with cash. It seems that rapper DMX was not satisfied with his crimes, demanded a tax-free check to continue taping the VH1 television show “Celebrity Couples Therapy.” He earned $125,000 from the show.

He said that there is a purpose why he will be in prison, and that is to meet someone who needs to know about the love of Jesus Christ.
