Aramazd Andressian was arrested by Los Angeles Detectives on Friday afternoon. The father is under suspicion of murdering his 5-year-old son Aramazd Andressian Jr. The arrest follows a murder charge issued by the Los Angeles County district attorney.

This is not his first arrest

According to New York Daily News, Aramazd Andressian was previously arrested in mid-April. The charges against the father included child endangerment and child abduction. Andressian was found unconscious in a park and his son was nowhere to be found. This arrest occurred on April 22, on the same day when Aramazd Andressian was to return his son to his ex-wife.

The couple shared custody of their son. Andressian was later released due to lack of substantial evidence.

Aramazd Andressian has reportedly not been co-operating with the police. The father has hired an attorney. Officials have stated that the father's alibi and statements are misleading and remain convinced that he had a part to play in the disappearance of his son. While the police are searching for the missing child, they are also investigating why his father was passed out in the park.

Suspicion around Aramazd Andressian and his involvement has grown as it was revealed that the father was last seen with his son on the April 21. This was the day before he was due to be returned to his mother's custody.

Aramazd Andressian's bail currently stands at $10 million.

Police was not alerted to the missing child case

It was not the boy's father who lodged a complaint that his son was missing. When he failed to meet with ex-wife Ana Estevez at their pre-arranged meeting place on April 22, the authorities were notified by the worried mother.

Aramazd's mother is distraught, and has appealed to the public to come forward with any information they might have on her missing son.

According to Pasadena Star News, in the weeks priors to Aramazd's arrest, police strongly believed that his son was still alive. Andressian Sr. remains adamant that he had nothing to do with the disappearance of his son.

The missing boy is described as being fair with brown hair and eyes. He is around 55 pounds.

The police have not revealed the evidence against the boy's father. There is no certainty as to whether or not his son's remains have been located by the police. Police are offering a $20,000 reward for anyone with information about the case. Police have also served search warrants to the missing boy's grandmother and have searched her home.
