The US President Donald Trump is known to be quite outspoken when it comes to talking about his opponents and critics. It seems that he now has his son Eric Trump in his corner when it comes to putting his critics in their place. In an interview with Fox News today, Donald Trump's son Eric went after those who criticize his father and also criticized the Democratic Party.
An astonishing attack
Eric Trump has hardly ever gone in as viciously at people who criticize his father and his latest comments during an interview with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity is surely going to make headlines all over the world.
Talking about the criticism that his father has faced from certain quarters of the Democratic party, he said that he was astonished at the level of hatred that his father has been subjected to from his critics and in a turn of phrase that would certainly raise eyebrows, he said that those critics are 'not even people'.
It might be construed an off-hand remark but dehumanizing a large number of people is something that is unbecoming of a sitting President's son. However, at the same time, it harked back to Hillary Clinton's comment calling the majority of Trump supporters a 'basket of deplorables'.
Democrats weren't spared either
However, Eric Trump's criticism was not only restricted to his father's critics.
He went after the Democratic party as well and said that the party is on the verge of implosion. However, he did not stop at that. Other than stating that the Democratic Party has no visions for the American people. He went on to attack the head of the Democratic National Committee Tom Perez, calling him a 'whack job'.
It really has been an astonishing attack on the Democratic Party from the President's second oldest son.
During the course of the interview, he said that the Democratic Party are still bitter at having lost the US Presidential election even though they had spent 'seven times the amount of money' spent by Donald Trump's campaign. He alleged that the party has been relentless in their vendetta against his father, who he called a 'great man' and had not spared the President's family in their quest to destabilize the Presidency.
The President handed over the reins of the Trump Organisation to Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. after entering the White House. Yesterday, the brothers announced the launch of a new chain of hotels named 'American Idea' by the Trump Organisation.
