The international network of activist and hacktivist entities calling themselves as "Anonymous" has now claimed that the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) may be on the verge of finally announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life. The group claims that the agency is now preparing for the groundbreaking announcement and that they may already possess evidence to support their claims.

Public announcement

The hacker group posted a video on their YouTube account, named "Anonymous Global," which apparently reveals to the world NASA's plans to make the announcement very soon.

The video itself references several recent big discoveries and quotes from NASA’s associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate in Washington, Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen.

The search for life

According to the video, Dr. Zurbuchen recently spoke at a congressional hearing back in April and revealed to those in attendance that NASA and humanity are already on the verge of discovering life outside our planet based on the different advancements in the search for life. It was further explained that different missions already at play may be very close to finally making the biggest discovery in human history.

Recent discoveries

The video then pointed out some of the biggest discoveries in astrophysics and astronomy, which includes the recent discovery of hydrogen on Saturn's moon, Enceladus.

The discovery may point to there being a rich microbial life on the moon, which may eventually be proven to be true. Another discovery includes the identification of 4,034 planets within our galaxy, which includes over 30 planets that are within the habitable zone of their host star.

Another big breakthrough in the search for extraterrestrial life is the discovery of the TRAPPIST-1 solar system.

The system itself is 39 light years away from earth and interestingly host seven planets that are within the habitable zone. The discovery of the system suggests that there may be more Earth-like planets that were previously thought to exist and most of them could have the conditions to support intelligent life.

The video then points out that NASA already has a pre-written protocol, which outlines the steps to take when humans finally encounter intelligent extraterrestrial life. The agency may also already have planned the process of publicly revealing that fact when the time finally comes.
