On Monday, former acting Attorney General testified in Congress in regards to the growing Russian Scandal. In return, Donald Trump gave his thoughts on Twitter.

Throughout the entire 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump was forced to push back against non-stop allegations that his campaign was in cahoots with the Russians. As expected, the former host of "The Apprentice" denied any wrongdoing, but mounting evidence made it tough for critics to look the other way.
From the early days of the election, Trump would bad mouth various world leaders, with the exception of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who he would even go out of his way to praise at times. On the issue of his tax returns, Trump continued to keep them private, creating even more speculation that the president is hiding financial information that could link him back to the Kremlin. The most damaging bit of info, however, has come after multiple advisers and associates were caught communicating with Russian officials, including retired Gen. Michael Flynn, who was exposed for meeting with a Kremlin official just a month after the election.
Not long after the news broke, Flynn was forced to resign as National Security Advisers. Over the last month, the House Select Committee has been investigating the Russian scandal, including what Flynn's role was in what allegedly took place. On Monday, Sally Yates was questioned under oath, and revealed that Flynn had been marked as someone who could go rogue and work with the Russians, which prompted Trump to fire back with a series of May 8 Twitter posts.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Donald Trump was not happy with what took place during the questioning of Sally Yates, as well as how the media was reporting the story. "Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows- there is 'no evidence' of collusion w/ Russia and Trump," the president tweeted out.
"Sally Yates made the fake media extremely unhappy today...she said nothing but old news!" Donald Trump went on to write on Twitter. "The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end?" he continued in a follow-up tweet. In his final tweet as of press time, the billionaire real estate mogul once again went after the press. "Biggest story today between Clapper & Yates is on surveillance. Why doesn't the media report on this? #FakeNews!"
Twitter reacts
In response to Donald Trump's tweets, social media users didn't hold back their thoughts. "Because they are too busy covering your idiotic tweets and actual, REAL news," author Holly O'Reilly tweeted out.
"For someone who is so concerned about taxpayer funding things, maybe stop taking 4-day weekends at your Russian money funded golf resorts," podcaster David Nuzzy Nussbaum tweeted. "Well, besides confirming that your election was clearly influenced by Russia, and that your presidency is illegitimate," Jules Suzdaltsev added. The tweets kept coming, as it was clear that opponents of the president weren't impressed with his reaction.
