Donald Trump has made it part of his routine to take out his frustrations on social media, and he doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. On the issue of the affordable care act, or Obamacare, Trump is still doing his best to smear the current law of the land.

Trump on Twitter

From the start of his campaign for president back in June 2015, Donald Trump made it clear that one of his top priories if he was elected as president would be to repeal and replace Obamacare. While the other 16 Republican candidates all promised similar policies on the issue of health, it was the former host of "The Apprentice" who was able to get his message across to enough voters to become the party's nominee.

In the general election, Trump was able to pull off the upset over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and with majority-control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, it seemed like only a matter of time before health care changed in the country once again. Despite a rocky start, Trump and the GOP were able to find common-ground on the issue and voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act last week in the House. With the next fight coming in the Senate, Trump decided to focus his latest Twitter attack on the subject at hand on May 11.

After taking a pass on an early morning tweet-storm, Donald Trump returned to Twitter as the morning came to a close and ripped into Obamacare, claiming the Affordable Care Act is in an alleged "Death Spiral." "The death spiral with disastrous Obamacare- continues," Trump tweeted using the official POTUS account, while attaching to a Bloomberg article highlighting the insurance company "Aetna" quitting the Obamacare marketplace.

Twitter reacts

In response to Donald Trump's tweet, social media critics decided to give the president a piece of their mind. "We've totally forgotten about how you fired Comey to avoid an investigation to your ties with Russia," comedian Kristina Wong sarcastically wrote on her Twitter account.

"Speaking of continuing, so does the Russia investigation, despite what you did to the FBI this week," author Andrew Smith wrote on Twitter.

"Since you have Zero Point Zero insurance knowledge: Aetna is leaving because they can't make enough money on sick people. Fix THAT concept," another tweet read. "Weak Grifter POTUS Trump is an epic failure as leader of the free world. Never before have we seen anything so disgusting at every level," a follow-up tweet noted. The negative reaction continued as it appears to be clear that the country is still divided on many political issues, including Obamacare.
