About 19 people died and 59 others are left injured in an explosion that occurred after the concert of Ariana Grande. Greater Manchester Police said that the incident, which is carried out by a suicide bomber, is considered as the biggest attack since the 7/7 bombings.

Police Chief Ian Hopkins said that they consider the bombing as a terrorist incident and they are further investigating the matter. The Manchester, as well as the Manchester Victoria train station, was closed since the bombing. Reports reveal that Grande is safe from the attack.

Hopkins added that they are doing everything that they can to gather information about the tragic event.

As of this moment, they are working with both local and national agencies to investigate the matter. The injured are currently being treated at six different hospitals in the city.

Ariana's statement

The pop star breaks her silence about the tragedy saying that she is broken. She added that she is so sorry from the bottom of her heart and that she doesn't have words to say about what happened. Grande expressed her sadness through her Twitter account.

Apart from that, the official team of the singer shared a message on Twitter sending their support for the victims and their loved ones.

The statement says that their hearts are broken and that words cannot express their sorrow for the victims. They are also mourning for the lives of those who died due to the cowardly act of the suspect. They also expressed their gratitude to the first responders of the attack who helped to save lives.

Ariana Grande is set to perform on Thursday and Friday at The O2 Arena in London as part of her Dangerous Woman World Tour.
